Patent Search
ProSearch is used whenever there is a need to search the international patent
data collection. ProSearch allows users to search using Semantic search (full
text natural language search queries), Boolean keyword or patent number
searches, or a combination of Semantic and Boolean, called Heuristic Boolean or
Advanced Boolean search.
Only with ProSearch your search results are returned and ranked by the relevance
beginning at 100%, so ALL patents contained in the authorities you selected will
be returned in the results list. Your focus can now be on search results that
rank high in relevance instead of just results containing a keyword, as these
will usually contain every patent reasonably teaching the content that you
entered as the search query.

Search results can be mapped by technology groups,
or by dynamically generated analytics charts and graphs, allowing you to
visually analyse your results. ProSearch provides user customisable workspaces
and proprietary computed patent data fields.
Multiple Search within options fine tune search results. The

function will show the activity level of all parties busy in the technology
field the highlighted patent is covering. This function automatically takes the
claims of a patent as search string and it will rank the patent of interest by
relevance percentage in the search results.
Heuristic Boolean and Advanced search allows you to search Boolean keywords or
key phrases, separated by Boolean Operators. The advantage of the Heuristic
Boolean and Advanced search is the ability to relevancy rank Boolean “hits”. By
applying a full text Semantic query in combination with the Boolean search, all
matching Boolean search results are now ranked by relevance from the semantic
search query placing the most relevant hits to the top of the list.
The Clustering tool identifies the core technology taught by the patents. It
allows you to group patents based on their technology field which is represented
by technical keywords as an extract of your entire patent document concept
search. It is not a simple key word count.

Interactive Citation Mapping
The Interactive Citation Analytics Tool creates visualised plotting of global
patent citations revealing technology or competitor mapping, diffusion or
advancement to quickly identify opportunities for commercialization and
strategic direction. The Citation Map graphically visualizes citation trees
based on individually selectable bibliographic information.
Interactive controls utilized
by this new technology platform allow the user to quickly drill through the
forward and backward citations with the click of a button. Generations of views
are easily traversed by simply selecting a new “patent of interest”. Results can
be grouped in the citation map display by selecting one of the grouping
categories, which include Applicant Name (Assignee), Domestic Class, Filing
Year, Inventor Name, International Class, Publication Year. The display name can
also be changed to show the title. The abstract and title are searchable fields,
allowing the user to focus on key words or technologies within the same
graphical output.
The navigation panel provides quick views of bibliographic data relating to
the patent of interest, the forward or backward citations, as well as
“breadcrumbs” to allow retracing steps, in order to follow a different path
through the citation map. Then the analysis can be sent to various outputs:
Excel®, Adobe® Acrobat®, or any printer.
Product to Patent Mapping
The unique Pantros IP semantic search engine enables mapping of any product to
all patents in the data base or to an individual selected patent portfolio – if
you want to map your own product line to your patent portfolio or your
competitor’s product line to the top 5 or 10 patents most likely to be
infringed, out of your portfolio of 1,000s of patents. Simply obtain the product
specification from the product that you wish to compare, select the PORTFOLIO
from your list of available custom portfolios (see our Patent Portfolio
Management DSS tool) or the entire patent databank and click start. The entire
portfolio is instantly returned, with the patents most likely to be infringed
ranked first. Review the claims of these patents and make the appropriate
infringement decision.

Patent Shuttle is used to UPLOAD a list of patents for subsequent search
and analysis. Uploading a list of patents allows the user to immediately extract
specific data points from those patents using EXPORT. Data fields may include
patent number, filing date, inventor names, applicant names, or about 30 other
data points that are either computed by Pantros IP (such as cluster or related
keyword terms), or bibliographic data contained on the front page of patent and
application documents.
Patent data exporting and document / data downloading is standardized
across all tools. You may convert all data on the current page to an Excel file
(pop up for saving to your desktop) or download PDF patent documents that you
have individually checked in the search results screen or Bulk download data
from up to 20,000 patents. You may select individually desired data fields for
export.
Dashboard and Topography
In your individual Control Panel you can elect to record session details, review
your Activity History of previous search sessions that you may have recorded,
retrieve documents from your Download Centre, including CSV data exports of
search results data, PFI reports that you may have generated, patent documents
(PDF format) downloaded from a set of search results, or patents and patent data
exported from Portfolio DSS™ or Patent CIA alerts, change password or other
personal account information.

Access patent data
We provide customized data feeds for customers who require access to large scale patent data, but can’t justify the high cost of maintaining an international patent database on site.
Our patent data warehouse contains the patent documents from all major patent
authorities* and we add 40,000 new published patents and applications each week.
All patents undergo Pantros Ip 6-SIGMA patent data cleaning process – the most comprehensive in the industry. Our collections include US granted and published applications, EPO applications and grants, as well as PCT, German, Japanese, Great Britain, France and Canada patent documents.
Additionally, our PFI statistical analysis, LSA clustering tools and semantic search engine generate more than 30 additional data fields for patents not available from any other source. This high-value added patent information gives our customers even higher value, exclusive information for off-line analytics to support competitive intelligence, patent landscaping, or patent acquisition or licensing analysis, and can be streamed to customers in a variety of formats.
